Scored a western guitar strap from Rod to give as a gift. The recipient loves their strap! The guy was genuinely moved. Right so, communicating with Rod overseas was a breeze. He responded quickly, answered all questions, and got the strap out to me straight away. If you're on the fence, don't be. The guitar strap is everything I was hoping for. I live in Canada and it arrived just about a week after I ordered it. I perform for hours at farmers’ markets and I had been developing nerve and muscle pain in my shoulder from my old strap. Excellent place to buy straps from. I contacted customer service a few times and always replied quickly and were helpful. The bass strap I ordered is easily the best quality one I own, I think it'll last a very long time and I really like that there's different length options available as I was having a lot of trouble before finding one short enough. Overall I can't see myself not buying all my straps from here, I already plan to order more for my other guitars. The free gifts are neat too, and the gift bag is handy for storing the strap, strap locks, tuner ect all together instead of them keep falling down the back of my amp. My son purchased me a Pinegrove Leather thin guitar strap for my Manson Raven eight years ago. I have tried many bass straps trying to find the right feel and quality. A friend recommended Pinegrove leather. My search for the perfect strap is over. The selection and prices are fantastic; however, the thing that matters-- quality and workmanship puts these straps in another league. Pure beauty, the level of padding, ergonomic design and comfort, detailed human-crafted stitching, and first rate customer service and communication. From the day I ordered my straps arrived from the UK to California in about a week and a half (including a postal delay). Within days I placed another order for the Heavyweight Tan Relic. With strap suppliers aplenty, all claiming to offer ultra-comfortable straps, I’d all but given up on the idea of relief from the back and shoulder pain of my eight to nine-pound electric basses. I bought my first Pinegrove strap in 2023 on a lark. I’d amassed countless straps while searching for The One. I thought, why not give just one more supplier a try? I was thunderstruck! Seated or standing, my double-padded, four-inch bass straps seem to slow the effects of time and downward pull. They’ve saved my back and shoulder time and again. If you’re discouraged, don’t settle. Buy a Pinegrove strap.

My new Pinegrove strap of FULL grain veg tanned leather is beautiful and will likely outlast me. But what led me to Pinegrove was Rod’s ingeniously simple headstock loop for guitars, like my Martins, that come without a front strap bu. You can, of course, have a luthier or tech drill and install a front strap button but I’ve never liked that. Folks like Hank, Sr., Johnny Cash, and I have made do with leather loops, bootlaces, shoestrings, etc. over the years. Martin’s solution is a leather loop that leaves it’s included (plastic) button too close to the fretboard. When you connect a normal to wider strap it interferes with making some open chords. Rod’s loop runs the button through a slit in the loop resulting in the button a few inches from the fretboard. Brilliant! I know it sounds odd that I would buy a new strap six time zones away just to get the free headstock loop but that’s exactly what I did. Rod even made mine an inch longer at my request at no charge, though it turns out the extra inch wasn’t necessary. I think my dark brown strap complements my new 000-15M nicely. Rod also sent me a light tan loop to match my Martin strap for my old HD-28 and a fun red one for my Yamaha camp out & beach guitar (also without a front button). Rod demonstrated great patience when quickly responding to my slew of odd questions. Oh, and the strap? It is wonderful, thick, high quality full grain leather. Pinegrove has spoiled my from ever purchasing from any other strap maker. Guy Murphy

My 4 inch wide extra padded strap with the soft rolled edges is the best strap I have ever owned! It is so incredibly comfortable that I can barely feel the weight of my guitar and in my case a 59’ Gibson Les Paul Custom Historic that is saying a lot (you’d think they feed her jelly doughnuts at the Gibson factory…). The quality of the strap is exceptional and it’s easy to see it was made by skilled craftsmen. Don’t think twice get one and you will thank me later!

Pinegrove has become my go-to for leather straps. The quality and attention to detail are second to none. Their leathers hit the sweet spot for strength combined with flexibility, and have none of the excess stretch and backside raggedness now appearing on straps even from boutique suppliers. There is none of the excessive thickness, weight, and stiffness that makes some $$$ straps...lousy. How Pinegrove hits such high (= top) standards while pricing their products so reasonably is some kind of magic and greatly appreciated. I will not call out the makers I have used previously -- expensive and established as they are -- but will just say that I will not be using them in the future because Pinegrove straps are great in a way these others are not. Pinegrove straps are an investment, not an expense. The nature of Pinegrove's leather and construction is such that idiotic metal straplocks, which have no business on a really good guitar, are unnecessary. The leather holds tight, and serious paranoiacs can add a rubber grommet for overkill if they want. Nothin' but love for Pinegrove!

bought the strap for my husbands New Mandolin and he absolutely loves it. It is sturdy yet not soft enough that it molds easily for comfort. The colour - dark brown is just amazing! oh and the leather smell! (I confiscated the leather tag that came with it to add for my keys). Pinegrove was referenced on a mandolin-related website (I don't remember exactly which). I looked up their website and reviewed their products. I was worried about how long it would take to get my order from the UK to the US. As it turned out, that worry was needless. I had my mandolin strap in short order and it is exactly as described. I purchased the folding leather harmonica case. I think it holds 12 harps. The closure button straps also function to hold the case open in a “standing” position so you can quickly access your harps in a gig, and you can also easily hang the case from a boom style mic stand using the straps. This case is heirloom quality. If the design fits your needs, just buy it. Craftsmanship like this is hard to come by nowadays.

Now most music stores have the same brands/designs of straps in their stores. They never seem to offer straps from independent leather makers.. which is unfortunate. I came across Pinegrove leather originally on Etsy and was amazed the pictures of their work... The dragon tail strap is so cool!! I have now had 7 guitar straps from Pinegrove. The quality is exceptional. Straps are really well made with high quality leather making comfortable, well padded straps. I’ve bought two guitar straps from Pinegrove Leather. My husband loved the first one so much on one of his electric guitars that I got him another for his acoustic. Over several years, I have been fortunate enough to have several guitar straps from Pinegrove come into my possession (either bought by me, or given to me as presents). The straps are just brilliant - gorgeous leathers beautifully crafted, and functional and comfortable to use. I think these straps are just about the best you can get. They also deliver very quickly. I have a telecaster with a Glaser B bender system fitted. This means that I needed a comfortable strap that grips my shoulder and doesn’t slip. Purchased the leather harmonica case (holds 12 diatonic harps), with custom engraving, and am completly blown (pardon the pun) away by the quality of the craftsmanship and the leather itself. The leather case is sturdy, and the leather for the harp pouches is supple enough to hold a variety of harps with different shapes and sizes. Pinegrove Leather is a class act operation. The beautiful harmonica case for eight was crafted so far above standards that it almost made me a better player (not quite though!). They threw in a complimentary leather travel case for a single harp which, as it turns out, works great on cast iron skillet handles. The guitar straps are lovely too. I have recently ordered and received the new Pinegrove Leather Guitar Wallet. I am delighted with this . The leather is really soft and tactile and this wallet holds more than you would think at first sight. Even when at home I now have most of my guitar accessories all in one place. This includes a tuner; a couple of capos;, a set of spare strings and a variety of picks and thumb picks. This wallet should fit neatly inside the average guitar case with similar advantages for gigs.
